Our Clinical Training Facilities

Our Precinct houses specialised training facilities that provide health professionals with practical skills development in safe, stimulated environments:
Sydney Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre – A joint initiative between NSLHD and the University of Sydney, SCSSC operates 2 facilities within the Kolling Building: a surgical and procedural skills training centre, and an immersive healthcare simulation centre. The facility delivers courses including emergency response training, anaesthetic emergencies, and simulation instructor programs.
Pam McClean Centre – Specialising in medical communication training, the Centre uses evidence-based workshops with professional actors to help health professionals develop communication skills for complex situations including breaking bad news, open disclosure, end-of-life discussions and conflict resolution. The Centre partners with health organisations across Australia to deliver tailored communication training programs.
